Our Company
Battle Creek Mutual Insurance Company was formed by a group of farm settlers in the Battle Creek, Nebraska, vicinity. The first office was the top dresser drawer of M.F. Doering and was conducted with a pencil and paper from his shirt pocket. The first office building was located on the main street of Battle Creek and had one employee. In September 1981 the current office, located at 603 South Preece Street, was built and now has a staff of 30 employees. Originally, the company sold insurance only in Madison County, Nebraska; however, through the years, the business was expanded until it now operates statewide with more than 300 agents in 115 independent agencies representing the company and specializing in property and casualty insurance.
